ABV: 68.3%

Nose: Cherry Cola, Black Pepper, slight touch of tobacco leaf, oak spice,

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel. Cherry Cola, black pepper, oak spice, tobacco leaf, tannins

Finish: Medium length finish. Pop of black pepper, tobacco leaf, oak spice, vanilla cream.

Rating: 6/10

Overall, if you are a fan of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof then this should please you. This hits all of the classic notes you want in one but does not really rise to the greatness of some of the other batches. Thick oily mouthfeel, classic bourbon flavors, and manageable heat make this a real nice bourbon to drink. The oak is pretty pronounced but its held in check with the other flavors, thought it rides that line of too oaked very closely.
