Review #666; Bourbon #148: William Larue Weller (2018)

This is a bottle from the Buffalo Trace Antique collection, with a 2017 vintage. This wheated bourbon was aged for 12 years and 6 months before being bottled at barrel proof with no additives. BTAC is well hyped as we know, but lets see if this holds up as well as the last time I reviewed it.

ABV: 62.85

Nose: Strong Cherry, Tobacco Leaf, Crème Brulee, black pepper, dark chocolate,

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel. Strong Cherry, dark chocolate, Crème Brulee, black pepper, tobacco leaf, cinnamon,

Finish: Long finish. Green apple, cherry, black pepper, crème brulee, cinnamon,.

Rating: 8/10

On re-review, this is another excellent bourbon. Deep complex flavors, rich fruit, savory spices and tobacco leaf, as much as I want to discount this it is quite the well-executed and wonderfully tasty bourbon.
