Review #659; Rye #51: New Riff 6yr Malted Rye

This rye comes to us from New Riff distillery. It is a 100% malted rye grain mash that has been aged for 6 years before being bottled with no chill filtering or additives. Malted rye is different from regular as it has been moistened and allowed to germinated which changes the flavor.

I think this is a great rye whiskey. It has lots of spices, good flavor, well balanced and is just really enjoyable to drink. One of my favorite things New Riff has put out so far. The frutiness really make this one stand out.
