This is a classic London Dry style gin from the Sipsmith Distillery based in England. This gin is made in pot stills in small batches according to Sipsmith. Let’s see how it is.
ABV: 44.1%
Nose: Pine, Lemon Zest, Cumin, Slight Nuttiness, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Orange Peel.
Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Lemon Zest, Pine, Black Pepper, Nuttiness, Orange Peel, Coriander, vanilla, slight creaminess.
Finish: Medium length finish, Lemon Zest, Pine, Black Pepper, Nuttiness, Coriander, faint Vanilla Cream.
Rating: 6/10
Overall, a very good gin that this all of the classic notes I want in a London Dry. It doesn’t go out of its way to be different but solidly executes pine, citrus, and spices in a way that is enjoyable neat and would do well in just about any classic Gin cocktail.
