Here we have another offering from Foursquare in Barbados through the Real McCoy line. It’s a tale as old as time, pot and column blend, ex-bourbon barrels, tropical ageing! All aged in Barbados before being bottled with no additives. Let’s see if it stands up to other Foursquare offerings.
ABV: 46%
Nose: Vanilla, Dark Chocolate, Raspberry, Black Pepper, Coconut, Tannins.
Palate: Light mouthfeel, Vanilla, Raspberry, Dark Chocolate, Black Pepper.
Finish: Short Finish, Tannins, black pepper, vanilla, toasted brown sugar.
Rating: 5/10
Overall, I got exactly what I expected I was going to get. This is quality Foursquare distillate at a lower proof that will appeal to a wide audience. For me however, this just isn’t too exciting. It’s just fine but there is far more interesting distillate out there for me.
