Review #509; Bourbon #125: Breckenridge Port Cask Finish Batch 7

This comes from cask producer Breckenridge. This is their bourbon that has been finished in port casks. A strange finishing for bourbon, lets see how it turned out. This came from Batch 7

I had this blind, so keep that in mind while reading this review.

ABV: 46% abv

Nose: Vanilla, cherry, toffee, light green apple.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Toffee, cherry, oak spice, green apple,

Finish: Medium length finish, warm. Toffee, cherry, green apple, oak spice.

Rating: 5/10

Guess: I like this, it has a nice fruity element going on in it, with some classic bourbon notes like Vanilla and oak. This is pretty good, I would guess this to be a Buffalo Trace Single Barrel

Reveal: Huh, I would have never pegged this as a finished bourbon, but perhaps that was what led this to be so fruity. Pretty impressive for a craft distillery for me.
