Review #495; Scotch #169: Kirkland Sherry 22yr

This is a scotch sourced through Alexander Murray and Co. for American Wholesaler Costco. It comes from Speyside, is aged in Ex-Bourbon then finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry Casks. These clock in at under $100 dollars a bottle.

ABV: 46%

Nose: Faint must, raisins, allspice, black pepper, Dark Chocolate

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, raisins, dark chocolate, must, light vanilla

Finish: Short, raisins, dark chocolate, vanilla, black pepper, faint oak spice.

Rating: 6/10

This is good given the stats. For the budget of $80, this performs pretty well. Its not overly complex or deep in flavor, but what flavors it has are good. I could wish for a bit longer finish and a more complex bottle but you get what you pay for. Great for gifts or just something to drink and not have to think about too much, this hits the marks you would want at a nice price.
