Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel. Olive oil, salinity, almost over-ripe pineapple, cream cheese funk, light clay and earth.
Finish: Long, warm. Salinity, vanilla cream cheese funk that lingers, light black pepper, clay, close to over-ripe pineapple. This finish lingers forever with the cream cheese and fruit.
Rating: 8/10
This is an in your face, savory, complex experience that is unique. Tons of cream cheese thick vanilla funk comes at you, tempered by some slightly funky, almost over-ripe pineapple, with some clay reminiscent of clay pot stills. This is one I will need to get a full bottle of for myself, and is firmly between DOK and Savanna HERR in the high ester funky world of rum.
