Review #405; Gin #7: Whitley Neil Blackberry Gin

This is a Gin from English producer Whitley Neil. It is made with classic gin botanicals as well as blackberries.

ABV: 43%

Nose: Heavy Blackberry, salt, spicy, black pepper, coriander, citrus peel, lemon zest

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel. Heavy Blackberry Jam and Orange Peel. Coriander, lemon zest,

Finish: Medium length, Heavy blackberry, Orange Peel, white pepper, salt.

Rating: 7/10

Far from your typical gin, the blackberry runs strong on this to have it land a touch on the sweet side, but that is what makes it so good. The other botanicals play a role in crafting the taste but you get exactly what you would expect from this Blackberry infused Gin. This was a sample but I will need to acquire a full bottle of it in the future.
