This is a bottling from Scotch Universe called Ursa Major III. We know this is a 13 year old Glenmorangie, aged for all 13 years in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry hogshead. This was bottled with no color added, non-chill filtered, and bottled at cask strength.
ABV: 61.5%
Nose: Strong fig, punchy cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, gingerbready.
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Figs, Plums, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, citrus, black pepper.
Finish: Medium length, spicy, figs, honey, citrus, black pepper, allspice.
Rating: 7/10
This is a delicious, punchy, and flavorful offering. Rich and full of spices and fruits, this bottle walks a good line of being balanced while not being overpowered by the barrel or the spirit.
