This a single vintage Armagnac made from a blend of grape varieties including Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Ugni Blanc. This was bottled in 2007 to celebrate Domaine Boingneres 200th anniversary.
ABV: 49%
Nose: Strong Spices, Rich dark grapes, Oak Spice, Strong Vanilla Cream, Toffee, Figs.
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Tart Dark Grapes, Black Pepper, figs, grapeskin. Slight must and spice, toffee.
Finish: Medium length, peppery, spicy, Grape skin and fig. Tartness.
Rating: 7/10
This is tasty. Good depth of the grape base in there, which really punches well with flavor. It is balanced by a very strong spiciness that is tempered by some slight vanilla and other lighter fruits. This punches you in the face with flavor in the best of ways.
