This is an offering from Foursquare, bottled exclusively for The Whiskey Exchanged. It was aged for 14 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, and is a mix of Pot and Column Still distillation.
ABV: 56%
Nose: Toasted Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Oak Spice, Pepper, Pineapple, Cinnamon, Nutmeg,
Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, “Dry”, Orange Peel, Brown Sugar, pineapple, cinnamon, oak spice, heat.
Finish: Medium length, pineapple, orange peel, oak spice, nutmeg, tobacco leaf. Fades into a dry pepper finish.
Rating: 6/10
I think this is a good offering from Foursquare. It hits what you want from one of their offerings, and is a good example of what a blend of Ex-Sherry and Ex-Bourbon barrels can do with a good base distillate.
