Review #318; Bourbon #92: Old Scout 13yr Single Barrel

This is a cask strength bourbon selected by Smooth Ambler, sourced from Tennessee (Dickel) I don’t have much experience with Dickel so let’s see how well they chose this bottle.

ABV: 50.5% ABV

Nose: Oak Spice, slight tobacco leaf, vanilla, black tea. Vitamin minerality.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Minerals, Black Pepper, slight sweertarts, vanilla.

Finish: Medium length, vitamins, minerals, pepper, Caramel.

Rating: 5/10

This is good, maybe not the best in terms of what dickel has to offer, but its perfectly fine. The vitamins which I had not experienced aren’t a flavor I really want, and this would be rated a bit higher if it weren’t for that flavor.

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.

9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Perfect | Perfect
