Review #316; Rum #23: Rum Nation Reunion 7yr Cask Strength

This is a 7 year old Cask Strength rum bottled by Rum Nation, distilled at the Savanna Distillery. The distillery is located on Reunion Island, which is in the Indian Ocean. It was bottled with no dilution, no color added, and was not chill filtered.

ABV: 60.5%

Nose: Slight rotting fruits, floral, Black Pepper, motor oil, lemon zest,

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel. Toffee, slight rotting fruits, lemon zest, slight herbalness.

Finish: Medium length, Black Pepper, spicy, rotting fruits, lemon zest, motor oil

Rating: 8/10

Very delicious, a good mixture of some funky weird flavors a bit mellowed out by age. I would love to try this unaged and younger. It also tells me I need more Savannah in my life.
