Review #315; Bourbon #91: Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof (K&L Selection)

This is a store pick from K&L of the JD Barrel Proof line, once that is new to their product line. Let’s dive in and see how being bottled at Barrel proof treats their spirit.

ABV: 67%

Nose: Rich, toasted oak, tobacco leaf, slight leather, vanilla frosting.

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel. Blast of Vanilla, tobacco leaf, oak, cherry, black tea.

Finish: Long. Hot and dry. Tobacco leaf, black pepper, vanilla, cherry. Oak Spice.

Rating: 7/10

This thing is high proof, it shows and its tasty. Strong punchy and flavorful, I’m shocked every time I take a sip of this and read the label. Delicious and something I need to add to my shelf as soon as possible. This punches up there with Stagg Jr and ECBP.
