Privateer Rum, Distillers Drawer Coupe Cask Reserve

This is a distillers drawer release from Privateer. This batch was a blend of 2.2-4 year old rum, that was matured in a mix of new and used casks, then finished in a neutral barrel.

ABV: 45%

Nose: Warm and fruity, slight banana, orange, burnt brown sugar.toffee, butter.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, tartness, butter, citrus, vanilla.

Finish: Short Length length, slight bread, warm vanilla, citrus, banana.

Rating: 5/10

This is good, I like the flavors in this but I wish it had just a little more proof to it, maybe this was a weird barrel that went down in proof but I would probably still not mind grabbing a bottle of this.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.
