Copper and Kings Craftwerk; Finished in Against the Grain Bo And Luke barrels.
This is a release from Copper and Kings, where they took their pot distilled American Brandy and finished it for a period of time in Against the Grains Bo and Luke Beer Barrels, which is an Imperial Smoked Stout aged in ex-Bourbon barrels.
This is a kind of weird release, so lets see how this combo works out.
ABV: 55.5%
Nose: Grapes, dark Chocolate, nutty, vanilla,
Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, tangy grapes, slight vanilla, dark chocolate, slight nuts.
Finish: Medium length, tart grapes, slight dark chocolate, slight hops, Vanilla.
Rating: 6/10
Overall a pretty interesting bottle. The stout flavors play pretty well with the underlying brandy, though the stout barrel may be a touch dominant over the brandy. Overall I am glad with the bottle though and would buy another.
