Compass Box Great King Street Select, Norfolk Wine and Spirits
This is a side by side of two different Compass Box Store selects, each with a different marrying cask, each sold at Norfolk Wine and Spirits as a set of 4 they did. I indicate the cask type in each glass below, they are the same blend of Compass Box Great King Street, whose blend can be found on their website but I will list below:
46% Gran Whisky from Cameronbridge – FF – Ex Bourbon
29% Malt Whisky from Clynelish- FF Bourbon Hogshead
16% Highland Malt Blend in Custom Toasted New French Oak
8% Malt Whisky from Linkwood – Sherry Butt

The differences aren’t too extreme here, a slight more heat and maltyness in the Lowland finish but overall these compass box selects range from good to great, and at around 50 dollars are pretty great value imo. I have yet to be let down by one. The people at Compass Box sure seem to know what they are doing when it comes to blending.
