Review #266; Scotch #91: Glen Scotia Double Cask

Glen Scotia Double Cask is matured in the finest first fill bourbon barrels before being finished for up to twelve months in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks

ABV: 46%

Nose: Vanilla, Raisins, Figs, Red Berries, Spicy.

Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Vanilla, salt, Figs, Dark Chocolate, Lemon Zest

Finish: Short length, Vanilla, oak, Dark Chocolate, Spices, Lemon Zest.

Rating: 6/10

I’m not sure if maybe the air time has helped but this has improved since I first opened it. The flavors are a bit deeper then the first few pours and for the price, this is pretty tasty. It won’t blow your mind but it’s up there as an affordable good offering
