Kingbarns Dream to Dram

First whisky bottling from Kingsbarn Distillery. Distilled in 2015; Bottled in 2018. First Fill ex bourbon casks from heaven Hill and first fill STR (Shaved, toasted, re-charred wine barriques) No color added, non chill filtered.

ABV: 46%

Nose: Floral, Vanilla, light honey, malty, cereally,

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, floral, honey, slight coffee, cereals, hay Young Green Wood

Finish: Shortish, floral, honey, Greenwood, slight sawdust.

The young character on this shows with the overly sawdusty, woody, young green wood notes that I get, but I am interested to see this with more age on it. It has good floral, honey, vanilla flavors that are really interesting, but the youth shows in it. Looking forward to some more age on this though!
