Eradour 13 Year Old

2005 Sherry Cask #144 Signatory Ibisco Decanter

Non-Chill Filtered, Natrual Color.

Lets dive in and explore this dram

ABV: 66.3%

Nose: Very faint nose for the proof, Grapes, Malty, Gingerbread, Allspice.

Palate: Rich Grapes, plums, allspice, nutmeg, hot, the proof really shows. Kind of a dry feeling. Leather, oak.

Finish: Long and Lingering, Dry grapes, plums, allspice, leather and oak.

This is quite the sherry bomb and very enjoyable. Strong notes that pack a punch. I like it but it’s a bit hot.
The palate on this is quite interesting. I believe this is the highest proof scotch I’ve tried. It explodes flavor similar to some same proof bourbons I’ve had. The flavor is great, and while not an everyday drink I think I could come to this after while. However, the heat is holding it back and as much as I enjoy my barrel proof offerings as the next guy, this is a bit hot for me.
