Review #143; Scotch #44: Eades Double Malt Clynelish 13yr and Ben Nevis 9yr

Background: Eades is an IB based in Virginia. This one is Highland, 15% 13 year Clynelish aged in Port casks and 85% 9 year old Ben Nevis aged in Port casks.

ABV: 46%

Nose: Sweet berries, Gingerbread, baking spices, floral, heavy syrupy molasses, dark chocolate.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, waxy? Heat, berries, grapes, baking spices, Sulphur, honey, oak, slight cinnamon note. Some floralness mixed in there.

Finish: Medium length, baking spices, bright fruits, Sulphur, nutmeg.

This is a tasty drink, good flavors with the fruity notes and baking spices that I feel is balanced out by the funk provided from the Sulphur. Enjoyable and at the right price I wouldn’t mind having a bottle.
