Review #121; Scotch #32: Octomore 6.1:

This Islay whisky was aged for 5 years in ex bourbon casks, from a 100% malted barley mashbill. Cask Strength, non chill filtered, and no color added.

Lets dive in!

ABV: 57%

Nose: Deceivingly sweet, peat, light smoke, vanilla, oak, brine, bbq, red berries.

Palate: Thick mouthfeel, BBQ Smoke, peat, red berries, vanilla, leather, oak

Finish: Creamy Vanilla, smoke, peat, a good balance between sweet vanilla, the smoke and peat. Some leather and oak influence as well.

The longer I drank this the more I wished I had a bottle. Well balanced and very good.
