This is a series that I will be posting my reviews and reveal from but no the overall results. A group of us did a big rye split where we sampled over a month blind samples from each other where we dedicated whole bottles, set those scores into a google doc, then pronounced a winner after it was all over.
There was a non-participating member who made sure there were no double entries.
This was my favorite of the group, slightly ahead of the other 8 I gave. We’re halfway through them now.
Rye 4 (Whistlepig)
ABV: 58.7%
Nose: Rye spice, allspice, baking spices, sweet,
Palate: Rye spice, green apples, citrus sweet, hint of tart
Finish: Medium length, green apples, honeydew, all spice
Rating: 8/10
Guess: Another Whistlepig store pick this is good, this is my submission
Reveal: Whistlepig 10 Year The Party Source pick
Im shocked I was able to pick my own out considering I had one dram of it before we did our split (I barely had enough for everyone) but hey sometimes Im not terrible at my guesses! Halfway through these now! Linking my previous review below.
