Review #74; Bourbon #39: Old Forester 1910

Background: This is a NAS bourbon from Brown-Forman for their Whiskey Row Series that was finished in a toasted oak barrel before bottling that I had blind and then was revealed the bottling

ABV: 46.50%

Nose: Cloyingly sweet, caramel, artificial banana, allspice, oak

Palate: The sweetness. Ethanol, caramel, banana. Vanilla. Flavors aren’t balanced too well.

Finish: The sweet banana mixed with nail polish remover and lingers too long.

The finish is awful, and the overpowering sweetness and ethanol permeates the entire drink

Rating: 3/10

Guess: OF 1870

Reveal: OF 1910

I was surprised there wasn’t more oak influence here but regardless, wish I had liked it more.
