Review #67; Bourbon #34: 4 Roses Private Select Jensen’s OESK

Background: This is a 9 year 7 month OESK from Four Roses bottled at cask strength. This barrel was selected and sold by Jensen’s Liquors located in Miami Florida. I had this blind then was show the bottle so lets keep that in mind while reading this.

Nose: Oak, Caramel, Butterscotch, black pepper, cinnamon hint, Spicy rye

Palate: Medium mouth feel. Dry, Oak, pepper, leather, Vanilla frosting, Spicy Rye

Finish: Long, warm. Oak, Leather, pepper, caramel, lingers for awhile.

Rating: 7/10

This is an in your face, high proof offering. However my mood is up for this kind of a punch in the face and I enjoyed, and ejoying this. I would guess 115 proof+, aged 10 years +.

Guess: 4 Roses PS

Reveal: Jensen’s 4 Roses PS OESK, 9 Years 7 Months
