Review #51; Scotch #7: Clynelish SiC 21yr 1996 The Whisky Exchange

Background: This single malt from the Clynelish distillery was aged for 21 years in a Refill Sherry Cask. Signatory Vintage, an independent bottler then bottled it at cask strength with no additives or filtering for The Whisky Exchange.

ABV: 52 %

Nose: Sweet Sherry, Berrys, plums, honeydew, Honeycomb, grapes, citrus, vanilla.

Palate: Oily, Vanilla, orange, tartness, Less sherry, a little bit of leather, slight sulphur

Finish: Long, a creamy vanilla mixes with oak and honey.

Delicious, great mouth feeling, yum.

Rating: 7/10

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.
