Review #48; Irish Whiskey #1: Tullamore Dew Rum Cask Finish

Background: I had this blind then was revelaed the bottle so keep that in mind. This is a triple blend Irish whiskey that was finished in barrel that previously held Demerara rum.

ABV: 43%

Nose: Faint, Grass, Sweet Butterscotch, Apples, hint of honey

Palate: Thick mouthfeel, Grassy, Butterscotch, warm apple, honey stronger now, rich sweet baking spices.

Finish: Warm, medium long, Grassy, Apple, burnt oak

Guess: This is an Irish, fairly prominent from the grassy apple note. Is fine and easy to drink if non complex.

Rating: 5/10

Would have never guessed this was finished but for a tiny sweetness but overall not a bad drink.
